NEWS FOR NATIONALS June - #3
TIGHTS AND BATON ENDS - All students will need a pair of NEW tights if they have even one little snag. I recommend that each get two pairs if they are performing on Friday and Saturday (Pom and Twirl). All of our students must have the same tights for teams and they do not sell these at the vendors that will be at Nationals. Tights are $10.00 per pair and you will need to put your size on the sign up sheet on Thursday along with payment. Each student is also REQUIRED to get new ends for their batons. Students who do solos can use any tights that they choose for that but teams must be the same! All $$$ due for this on Thursday. I will not take it out of Wal-Mart money as this is just to much to keep up with. Right now I am deducting team fees from Wal-Mart money and balancing out each person’s account. If you did not work at Wal-Mart, you will need to pay me for the team fees. I will let you know your balance or credit this Thursday at practice.
SECRET PAL - We will have a secret pal gift exchange at Nationals. The limit of the gift will be $10.00. This should be a thoughtful gift!!
COACH FEE AND TEE-SHIRTS - Coach Fee is $40.00 and $50.00 for those staying for individual events. Tee-shirts will be approximately $20.00 each. I do ask that everyone attending purchase a tee-shirt! It will have all the girls names on the back and each person will have their own name printed on the front. We will display all of our sponsors on the back of our shirts. Order forms going home tonight. Due this Thursday. If you worked at Wal-mart and have a lot of credit, I will use it.
COSTUMES - Additional costumes will be purchased. If your child will be doing Pom and doesn’t have pom outfit, she will need to purchase one. Those who are not doing Pom will get one as well and we will use them in the future or as practice outfits! Everyone in Juvenile and Tot team needs to purchase a pair of Soffe’ shorts in black and turn them in to me by next Tuesday. They MUST be Soffe’ brand. They should fit nicely and not be too big.
WAL-MART AND SPONSORS - This is all being tallied up now. All sponsors must have their forms in by the 6th in order to get on the shirt. Please remember that there is a 5% administration fee on ALL sponsors. This is something that I do each year. Sponsor money is to used on Nationals expense and anything that you or your child need to Nationals. These funds were donated with the understanding that all money collected assists students going to Nationals and nothing more. Anyone who owes money to Superstars will be required to pay this before going to Nationals. No exceptions. These team classes are just about my only income over the summer so those dues must be paid and all other expenses must be paid as I do not have the extra money to front everything!! Thanks!!!
PRACTICES - I can not stress the importance of attending all rehearsals. We are so close and we have had very few practices with everyone on the team at once. This is extremely frustrating to me and the students who are there as we have exchanges and are making some additions and changes to some routines. I appreciate you getting your child to all practices from now through the time we leave for Nationals. I need to all parents to leave the practice room immediately so we can start our next classes right away. If you need to speak to me, I will go outside to take care of it. We can not use class time and it is very distracting for the girls. Thanks
