General Information

Welcome to Superstars Twirling Academy!

You are coming to our program at a very exciting time as this is our 21st anniversary year!  Our group is on that you can be proud to be a part of.  We take pride in our performance and appearance!  We want your daughter to have a great experience and feel good about what she is learning!  In our group, your child will always be treated with kindness and respect.  She will be encouraged to be the best that she can be.  While we do have high expectations, we do realize that everyone progresses at their own pace and we will be sure to make sure that each and every student has that one on one that she might need to help her in her progression.  As students progress, they may be invited to be a part of our competition team.  Our group has won numerous awards in parades and competitions.  Our individual competitors have won many State & National Championship Titles.  Several of our student have gone on to twirl at their colleges.
Nearly 1700 girls have been part of the the Superstars over the last 20 years. Our students range in age from 3 to adult
and we teach all levels of ability!
I encourage you to call or email me if you have any concerns
or if your child has any special needs.
We hope you and your child enjoy being a part of our group.

CLASSES

After school classes and studio recreation classes generally last for one hour with the exception of the preschool classes which will last for forty five minutes.  Parents are not permitted in the practice area at either location.  At the schools you may wait in your car until the last 5 minutes of the class.  If at the rec center, you can wait in the waiting area.  Parents are not required to remain at practices.  FRIENDS AND SIBLINGS are not allowed to stay at any practice where I am expected to be responsible.  Only students who are properly registered are allowed in the practice areas.

ATTENDANCE & PICK UP

All students are expected to attend as many classes as possible.  It is very hard to get caught up on routines and new tricks when a student doesn't attend.  Students must be picked up on time from every class.  This is very important as I have other classes sometimes in other locations that I need to be at on time!  Student's who are regularly picked up late will be dismissed.

PRACTICE

All students are encouraged & expected to practice at home regularly!  All students will be learning at least 3 different performance routines throughout the year.

DRESS CODE

Students at all classes are asked to dress appropriately.  This means shorts or loose fitting comfortable pants and a tee-shirt or tank top.  Shoes must be tennis shoe or baton shoes.
Students who arrive in sandals or shoes that we feel could be unsafe will be asked to sit and watch practice and will not
be allowed to participate.  They can not wear skirts, dresses or tight fitting pants.  Hair must be pulled up out of the face.

BEHAVIOR

All students are expected to show respectful behavior during the class.  If a child exhibits continual negative behavior that takes time away from other students, that child's parent will be contacted about the situation so it can be corrected.  All students are encouraged to be kind to and support their fellow twirlers!
Batons and hands must be kept to themselves at all times!

PAYMENT

For your convenience, we accept credit/debit payments through paypal. Please Click Here for ONLINE payments.
All payments must be kept up to date.  You will receive a receipt or a late payment slip at the first of the month.  All payments not made on the first of the month will need to include a $10.00 late fee the next week.  If payment is not made by the third week and the parent has not contacted me to explain the situation and make an arrangement, the student may be dismissed from the group until payments with late fees are brought up to date.  Payment must be in the form of check or cash.  Checks should be made payable to "Superstars".  The payment is $40.00 per month through the school year.
This is bases on a 4 per month class schedule.
Some months have more practices and some may have less.
There will be extra rehearsals that there will be
no additional charge for
(Please see the registration link for costs and fees)

RETURNED CHECK POLICY

There will be a $25.00 returned check fee on all returned checks.
If the same family has 2 checks that are returned,
they will be required to pay in cash from that point on.

PARADE & EVENT PARTICIPATION

Our parades are not mandatory however we encourage you to attend as many as possible to get your money's worth out of your costume!  The annual recital and trophy presentation is mandatory.  All students will perform for their friends and family and will receive her own trophy for her accomplishments!

SCHOOL POLICY

Please do not contact the schools for baton information.  If your daughter forgets her baton, I will have extras.  When batons are carried to school, they must not be shared or played with during the school day.  They need to stay in a backpack or in a baton case.

SCHOOL BAD WEATHER  POLICY

We do not cancel baton unless we are under threat of hurricane or there is a tornado warning.  We will find a safe location on campus to get out of the weather if there is lightning.  I will ALWAYS show up at the school during bad weather and I will make sure your child is safe from lightning.  It is very seldom that we have to leave the pavilion to go inside but we will if necessary.

AFTER SCHOOL CARE PROCEDURE

If your child is enrolled in the after school program offered at your school, she can still attend baton and we will walk her in to the facility and check her in with the appropriate people after baton class.

CONTACT

The best way to contact me is by email.  If you call, please make sure you leave your name, your child's name and a clear phone number.  I do ask that if you have a question and need to call, that only the parent call me and not the child.  I also ask that if you have my mobile phone number that you do not use it, please call the office phone or email and I will get back with you as soon as possible.
