BATON NEWS -
GEORGEFEST PARADE - This Saturday in Eustis. Line-up time is 8:0030 a.m. and we will be meeting at Eustis fire department located on W. Herrick Avenue and Morin Street. This is located off of 19 in Eustis before the road splits at the church if you are coming from 441. If you get lost, look for a parade official and ask where the fire station is!
All students need to be in line-up no later than 8:45am dressed and ready to go. You will need to drop your child off. No one can park in the field where all of the marching groups are assembling. This is dangerous to all children lining-up. Please comply with this rule even though others do not. I am looking out for the safety of our girls as well as of the other children who will be there! You will pick-up your child on Bay Street by the community room!!! Just follow us when we pass!! Students will not be allowed to walk to their parents so you must come and get them. The parade actually begins at 10:00am but we will begin moving out about 9:40 so you can't be late!
All students will wear their costumes, tights and baton shoes. Hair in a bun with accessory and star barrettes. Pink lipstick, blush and mascara worn by all performers. baton ends must be cleaned!! If you ordered a costume, they have not arrived and are not expected until next week. Your daughter can wear her pink Superstar shirt and white shorts. White tennis shoes can be worn, and hair and make-up as above applies. Costumes will be here for the Fruitland Park Parade and recital. I am working on another performace as well!!
Again, I ask all of my students and parents to show good sporsmanship to all other groups and refrain from negative comments! We don't always get the same courtest, but I expect great behavior from our girls and we choose to take the high road in all circumstances! Thanks for your cooperation in this!
Parents who have Superstar shirts are asked to wear them to show support for y\our group! Thank you!
LEESBURG FINE ARTS FESTIVAL - Our group is scheduled to perform at 12:00 noon on saturday, march 6th. We will be on the main stage area in front of City Hall. All students will meet at 11:15am to get glitter and stars on and to warm-up. I will send home the meeting location next week! This is not mandatory but is a great opportunity for our girls to get out there in our comminuty and shine!
FEBRUARY & MARCH TUITION - February is past-due and march will be due next week. Please remember to pay on time to avoid the late fee! PayPal is available on our website!
We will begin our Spring fund-raiser which helps with some of the fees for our recital very soon! Please look for this in two weeks!
Remember, we still have a lot going on in baton and we are working for our recital and trophy presentation now! All students should be practicing at home regularly! Please check the website for dates of our events!
