SUPERSTARS STAFF
Hello, my name is Debbie Carney!  I began baton twirling when I was 12 yrs old and going into the eighth grade.  I was a member of the Deltona Junior High Chargers Majorette corp.  I became captain the following year.  I then moved to Sumterville, FL for my sophomore year in high school where I twirled with the South Sumter Raider Band.  I became feature twirler for the Raider Band my senior year!

I am now married to David and have a son who plays football for Tavares High School and a daughter who twirls with Superstars Twirling Academy!  We have been twirling with Superstars for the past year--my daughter on the juvenile competition team and me on the adult baton twirling team!  We are excited about the upcoming year and look forward to working with Cheri and the rest of her "Superstars"!

Hello, my name is Brooke Malloy and I am a proud member of Superstars Twirling Academy.  I have been twirling for 12 years now.  I started twirling in Kindergarten with the Lake County Cuties.  In 2005, I became a member of Superstars Twirling Academy and had a whole new world of twirling opened up to me.  I started out on the junior competition team. One year later, I began competing individually as well.  I’ve held several individual titles including DMA Mini-National Starlet 2008 and Florida State Starlet 2008.

I am currently a junior at Leesburg High School and a member of the Superstars Advanced team and Show Corps.  I am also a member of LHS Key Club, Beta Club, and National Honor Society.  In addition to baton and school activities, I have been a dancer at Leesburg Dance Centre since age 3.  I enjoy hanging out with my friends, being active in my school, and dancing.  However, baton is where my heart is.

In 2007, I started teaching with Ms. Cheri and quickly discovered how rewarding it was working with the younger girls.  I love twirling and having the opportunity to help teach and promote this sport with upcoming young girls has been amazing!  I am very excited about working with all the returning students as well as the new ones.  The 2009-2010 baton season is going to be great!
